Objective To investigate the effect of obesity on wound infection, urinary system infection and perinatal health in cesarean section of a woman. Methods From March 2009 to October 2013, 134 obese mothers undergoing cesarean section in the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital were selected as experimental group (BMI≥30), including 86 obese women (30≤BMI≤34.9) 48 cases of obese women (BMI≥35); 161 cases of normal women were selected as the control group (BMI <30). The two groups of maternal infections were compared. Results The infection rate after cesarean section in experimental group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05). Mild obese women in the incidence of infection was significantly lower than the highly obese mothers, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). The experimental group neonatal giant was significantly higher than the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusion Obese women have a higher incidence of cesarean section infection, which will cause some risks to themselves and their newborns, and should be paid attention to.
