Request for additional funding for a grant from the National Science Foundation: As of October 2017, researchers must submit a data management plan that will be part of their complete research program. Data management plans are an important step towards opening up scientific data. There have been several initiatives worldwide that seek to make scientific data, especially scientific data, open and available.
