在机械加工中,由于磨削加工比较容易实现精密加工和难加工材料的加工,因此作为高效率高产值的精密加工方法而被广泛应用。但是由于磨削加工需要较高的生产技术和知识,存在着许多复杂的因素,因此目前还不得不依靠熟练的技能。表1、2所示的是美国磨床拥有量构成比(这里的磨床包括砂轮机、珩磨机、研磨机等在内——编译者注),从中可以看出,台份最多的是平面磨、砂轮机,其次是外圆磨、工具磨。而使用磨床的行业,光从机械、运输机械就占了60%。在八十年代中,这种情况不会有较大的变化,但随着高效率大批量行业的扩大和产品性能的提高,磨削技术所起的作用将要增加。
