此文值得介绍。作者Daniel Goleman博士曾执教于哈佛大学,为《纽约时报》的“行为/大脑科学”栏之专栏作者。 文章的新意在于:继IQ(智商)之后,作者提出了emotional intelligence这个全新概念。权且译为“情绪商数”,未知可否。 文首的一个观点在读者意料之外却于情理之中:High I. Q. does not necessarily predict who will succeed in life. I. Q. contributes only about 20 percent of the factors that determine success.第1、2节分别提出了emotional self-awareness及mood management的重要性。国人历来以为:ventilating(见22注)为“消气”良法,此文却加以否定,并另辟蹊径,提出别的effective ways,值得一读;第3节中有一则趣闻:美MetLife保险公司聘用了在智商测试中败下阵来,然而却被测出“高乐观度”的人,结果公司业务大获成功;最后两节有这样两段话,引起选注者的共鸣与深思。特摘译于下: a. This article is worth introducing. Author Daniel Goleman, Ph.D., who co-authored Harvard University, was the columnist for the “Behavior / Brain Science” section of The New York Times. The article’s new idea is: Following IQ (IQ), the author put forward a new concept of emotional intelligence. Right and translated as “emotional quotient”, unknown. An opinion from the beginning of the text is beyond the reader’s expectation but in reason: High IQ does not say predict who will succeed in life. IQ contributes only about 20 percent of the factors that determine success. The importance of self-awareness and mood management. People have always thought that: ventilating (see note 22) as “good gas consumption”, the article was denied, and the other way, put forward other effective ways, worth reading; Section 3, there is an anecdote: the United States MetLife insurance company engaged in IQ test defeated, but was measured “optimistic” people, the results of the company’s business success; the last two sections have two paragraphs, arouse the electoral sympathy and reflection.
