随着信息时代的高速发展,各地域各民族的文化相互影响,“越是民族的,就越是世界的”这句口号在设计的相关领域中不断升华,无论是广告设计、产品设计、室内设计等优秀设计中,诸多的民族特色已经融入进去。在现代包装设计中,设计师们为了最求其艺术性,常常将民族中的传统文化如:传统符号、传统色彩、传统图形等各类民族性的元素作为包装设计的造型元素。在这些传统的民族视觉元素中,我们能深深的感受到中国传统文化的博大精深,以及具有良好的再塑性。以传统符号为元素对目标进行造型或装饰,传统的符号主题延续了当代国人对现代包装设计中的民族审美心理。
