Based on my experience in managing medical units’ finances over the past few years, I believe there is potential for medical units to save on the use of cloth and save money. For example, hospital beds are 6 feet in length and 3 feet in width. Bed sheets used are generally 7.8 feet long and 5.4 feet wide. If this size is reduced to 7 feet long and 4.4 feet wide, the bed length can be set on each side. More than 5 inches, 7 inches wide on each side, does not affect the use and appearance.
