随着互联网的不断发展,不少门户网站、网络游戏运营商为了提供更好的服务,很早就开始提供网络虚拟货币以供使用。据iResearch统计,目前市面流通的网络虚拟货币近15种,如Q币、百度币、网易泡币、新浪U币、魔兽币、天堂币、盛大元宝等,越来越多的网民开始使用虚拟货币。从2006年下半年以来,行业内各界人士对虚拟货币的讨论此起彼伏,争论最激烈的无非是关于网络虚拟货币是否会冲击人民币的法定地位。2007年1月,百度公司宣布百度币可与盛大、网易的虚拟货币自由兑换,这标志着部分网络虚拟货币的交换通道已经彻底打通,虚拟货币的发展空间将进一步拓展。
With the continuous development of the Internet, many portals and online game operators have started to provide online virtual currency for use in order to provide better services. According to iResearch statistics, there are nearly 15 kinds of network virtual currencies currently circulating in the market, such as Q coins, Baidu Currencies, Netease Currencies, Sina U coins, World of Warcraft coins, Paradise coins, Grand Dollars, etc. More and more Internet users are using virtual currencies . Since the second half of 2006, there has been a continuous discussion of virtual currency among people from all walks of life in the industry. The most heated debate is nothing more than the legal status of whether the virtual currency of the Internet will impact the RMB. In January 2007, Baidu announced the free exchange of Baidu currency with Shanda and NetEase’s virtual currency, which marked the complete opening up of exchange channels for some of the online virtual currencies and further expansion of the development space for virtual currency.
