In the peasant uprising, Chen Sheng and Wu Guang put forward the slogan of “princely will, rather than kind of peace.” This slogan is the result of the change in China’s “Heavenly” outlook since the Zhou Dynasty. It is both necessary and contingent. This article elaborates the conditions of the insurgent slogan from three aspects: historical background, class basis and social origin, and studies its influence in depth. It reflected the stage and limitations of the peasant class in its program and slogan at that time and also reflected the strong desire of the peasantry to fight for political rights on the historical stage. The idea that “the princes will be relatives, rather the kind of peace” had a huge historical role in the peasant uprising in the late Qin Dynasty and permeated the struggle between the landlord class and the peasantry in the modern history of China and brought about the peasant movement in the future profound influence.
