(A Long andTumultuous Relationship:East-WestInterchanges in American Art),斯坦福大学张少书教授的发言引起了我的注意和兴趣。
In early October 2009, I was invited to attend an international conference held at the Museum of American Art in Washington, DC "A Long and Tumultuous Relationship: East-West Interchanges in American Art), Professor Zhang Shaoshu from Stanford University’s speech caught my attention and interest. He is the philosopher of Zhang Shuqi and the famous historian. Therefore, he has something remarkable about possessing materials, asking questions and maintaining the objectivity of narration. More importantly, his report reminds us of the unique historical experience of an important Chinese painting artist who was neglected in the history of Chinese modern art.
