我国对外汉语教学事业在新中国成立后,已经走过了40多年的艰苦历程。1978年它首先得到学术界的承认,继后国家正式认可,成为一门新型的学科。80年代是对外汉语教学蓬勃发展的时期,是硕果累累的10年,无论是在学科的宏观建设方面,还是在学科的微观建设方面,诸如总体设计、教材编写、课堂教学、师资队伍建设以及测试和评估等,都取得了可喜的成果。
