一个县级剧团,将丹麦著名作家安徒生的童话《海的女儿》改编成戏曲,搬上越剧舞台,而且久演不衰,场场爆满,这不能不说是一个创举。这个剧目,便是浙江省温州市瑞安县越剧团演出的《海国公主》。《海国公主》役有靠低级趣味去招徕观众,而是以其高雅的格调和优美的风姿赢得普遍的赞誉。看过该剧的著名戏剧家顾锡东、钱法成、胡小孩、史行等人都盛赞她的“骚姿丽质”,认为《海》剧的“色彩美、意境美、情操美”,“令人耳目一新”,“象一条洗涤青少年心灵的清溪”,“为越剧艺术改革闯出了新路”。
