The number of “wedding members” in Carson McCullers ’s novel and the proper use of images and symbolic tactics have made the novels’ artistry and ideology highly unified. Through the study of several groups of symbols and images in the members of the wedding, the dissertation analyzes the deep meaning of the inner world of hero Frankie and the whole novel.
