一、介绍近年来,我很乐于和学习荷兰设计的中国学生进行讨论。在讨论过程中,总有两件事引人注意[2]:首先,一般来说,中国学生对荷兰设计知之甚详,这实在令人吃惊。事实上,中国学生对荷兰设计的了解程度普遍比荷兰学生对中国设计的了解程度高。其次,尽管他们所知甚广,但没有一个人知道在荷兰设计史上最重要的设计师之一是位华裔。在下文中,我会尽力为华裔荷兰设计大师郭梁乐(中文名为音译,1927-1975)描绘一幅肖像,以填补这一空缺。(图1)
I. Introduction In recent years, I am very happy to discuss with Chinese students who study Dutch design. There are always two notable issues in the discussion [2]: First, in general, it is surprising that Chinese students know very well about Dutch design. In fact, Chinese students generally know more about Dutch design than Dutch students’ understanding of Chinese design. Second, although they know very well, none of them knows that one of the most important designers in Dutch design history is Chinese. In the following, I will try my best to draw a portrait of the Chinese Dutch design master Guo Lele (Chinese transliteration, 1927-1975) to fill this vacancy. (figure 1)
