This paper describes the lithologic and reservoir properties of volcanic effusive rock and turbiditesandstone in the lower Shahejie member, Eogene system in Area BIN 3, Binnan oilfield. The coexistenceof tWo different types of lithologic reservoirs is analyzed on mechanism, and the distribution of differenttypes of lithologic reservoirs triggered by sudden geological event is concluded, as is regarded as a goodguideline for discovering the same types of volcanic and turbidite sandstone reservoirs of correspondingintervals in adjacent area. The exploration practice in this area proved that our research result is veryuseful for the exploration of corresponding geological conditions.
