Wheat shuttle mosaic disease has become an important disease on the Yangtze River, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River, and the wheat in the Huaihe River Basin. The selection of resistant varieties is a key measure to comprehensively control the disease. In 1986, we screened and popularized the disease-resistant varieties. At the same time, we found for the first time that the differences in disease resistance among different regions caused by different pathogenicity of the wheat spindle mosaic disease. To further confirm the existence of this phenomenon, we used the soil and artificial mechanical inoculation test methods to determine the more than 200 wheat varieties in more than 20 areas in the province for many years. The results are as follows: For reaction analysis, a number of varieties with different “virulence” to different pathogenicity were selected. The results also show that WSSM pathogenicity differentiation is more complicated, different regions of virulence is almost the same. In view of the extremely obvious reaction of some varieties to high resistance (asexuality) and high susceptibility to different sources (Figure 1), as well as the resistance level of the tested varieties, the time difference and symptom of symptoms, Divided into A, B, C, D 4 types. Type A: the majority of varieties (68%) showed no symptoms, the proportion of high susceptible cultivars was small (8%), and the diseased plants were mildly yellowed. Type B: the smallest proportion of non-symptom cultivars was 24% The majority (58%) had mild disease and showed resistance to (resistant) disease; C type: no obvious disease
