一九七八年二月三日华盛顿国会图书馆柯立治大厅举行演出会,纪念美国著名进步音乐家西格夫人(Ruth Crawford Seeger),节目中有两首作于三十年代初的歌曲“萨柯-梵塞蒂”和“支那人——洗衣匠”,歌词取自华裔英语作家蒋希曾(H.T.Tsiang)的诗集《中国革命诗》。笔者为此在路过华盛顿时到国会图书馆查询,后得该图书馆现代文化史专家韦恩·薛利(Wayne D.Shirley)先生来函,详为答复。

For this reason, when I passed by Washington, I went to the Library of Congress to get inquiries. After that, Wayne D. Shirley, an expert in modern cultural history of the library, sent a letter detailing her reply.
