自从Ｊ．Ａ．Ｗｉｌｓｏｎ和 Ｗ．Ｍ．Ｒｏｓｓ于１９６２年育成了具提莫菲维（Ｔｒｉｔｉｃｕｍ ｔｉｍｏｐｈｅｅｖｉｉ）细胞质的雄性不育系（简称Ｔ型不育系）以后，小麦育种工作者开始了利用三系进行杂种小麦育种的研究。其中，对雄性不育系的育性恢复问题做了大量工作。
Since J. A. Wilson and W. M. After Ross bred a male sterile line with Triticum timopheevii cytoplasm in 1962 (referred to as the T-type CMS), wheat breeders started the study of breeding three-line hybrid wheat. Among them, a lot of work has been done on the fertility restoration of male sterile lines.
