英国是一个工业化程度相当高的国家。1840年前后,英国成为世界上第一个工业国家,起源于那里的第一次工业革命不仅是一次技术革命,也是一场深刻的社会变革,对人类社会的各个方面都产生了极其深远的影响。正是由于英国工业对英国社会的重要作用,英国社会广泛重视企业档案的保存。经过长期的实践与探索,他们已逐步建立起一套包括保存企业档案在内的比较完善的社会服务体系和服务标准。但在不断的进步和发展中,也不断出现理论与实践的冲突,理想与现实的矛盾。本文介绍的是英国石油公司对GuiIdhall图书馆-除英国公共档案馆外,可能是世界上最重要的企业档案中心-在选择接收企业档案方面的一些原则的认识,以及存在的争议。这对我国的企业档案工作具有积极的借鉴意义。
Britain is a country with a very high degree of industrialization. Before and after 1840, the United Kingdom became the first industrialized country in the world. The first industrial revolution originated there was not only a technological revolution but also a profound social change that had an extremely profound impact on all aspects of human society . It is because of British industry’s important role in British society, British society has extensive emphasis on the preservation of corporate files. After a long period of practice and exploration, they have gradually established a relatively complete system of social services and service standards, including the preservation of corporate archives. However, in the continuous progress and development, there have been constantly emerging conflicts between theory and practice, the contradiction between ideal and reality. This article describes the perceptions and controversies that BP has over the GuiIdhall Library - in addition to the British Public Archives - which may be the world’s foremost corporate records center - in choosing to accept corporate records. This has a positive reference for our country’s enterprise archives work.
