中国美术协会浙江分会和浙江美术学院于今年(1989年)11月林风眠先生九十大寿之前,组织“林风眠艺术研究会”。我作为三十年代初曾就读杭州艺专的一个学生,理应、而且乐于参加这个研究活动。这不仅仅是为了一般的师生关系,也是为了我国现代艺术领域一个尚未完成的课题。事实上离开杭州母校迄今快六十年了,我始终也没有机会和林校长取得联系。当然也就谈不上尊师重道之常理了。关于林先生的生活处境与某些不幸遭遇以及他的创作活动和新的成就,多半来自道听途说和报刊上偶见
Zhejiang Art Association of China and Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts this year (1989) in November Lin Fengmian 90th birthday before the organization “Lin Fengmian Art Research Society.” As a student who had enrolled in Hangzhou Arts College in the early 1930s, I deserved, and am happy to participate in this research activity. This is not only for the general relationship between teachers and students, but also for our country an unfinished task in the field of modern art. In fact, almost 60 years since leaving his alma mater in Hangzhou, I have never had the chance to get in touch with President Lin. Of course, it does not mean to respect teachers. Most of Mr. Lin’s living conditions and some unfortunate encounters, as well as his creative activities and new achievements, are mostly from hearsay and the occasional press
