In this paper we report the implementation of optical repeater using bistableswitches.Experimental results with NLIF and BILED switches are presented.The repeater hasthe functions of amplifying,reshaping and retiming.The repeater may satisfy the require-ments for practical applications by replacing the switches with high speed ones.
