The traditional view that heart disease is not suitable for sexual intercourse, because sexual intercourse is one of the most intense activities, will lead to a sharp acceleration of heart rate. In contrast, studies by two sexologists in the United States showed that the average maximum heartbeat during sexual activity was 117.4 times per minute, while the average maximum heart rate during work activities was 120.11 times per minute.
