目前研制成功的21英寸、19英寸及15英寸、偏转角为90°、管颈为φ22.5毫米的全方形彩色显象管,有如下特征:(1)荧光屏的外曲率半径约为以前管型的两倍,扩大了可视范围并缩小了不必要的外光反射。(2)荧光屏对角线长度比以前管型约增大了一英寸,扩大了图像信息量。(3)采用LAT电子枪,使透镜直径比以前管型(管颈φ22.5毫米,透镜直径φ3.90毫米)增大了约15%,荫罩节距比以前管型精细了5~10%,从而提高了图像的清晰度。(4)改善荧光粉色纯度使再现领域比以前管型约扩大了13%,进一步改善了外光反射约14%。
