人类历史,风云变幻。每当社会发生重大变革之际,会演出多少惊天动地的悲喜剧,涌现出多少可歌可泣的风流人物!古今中外,画家们有的直接投身于社会实践,有的用思索的目光观察注视着社会变革,而更多的则是通过对历史的回顾和反思,运用手中的画笔,神奇地再现了历史,创作出大量的历史画面,为人类历史留下了形象的丰碑。法国大革命时期,资产阶级为了推翻封建专制制度,利用绘画这一艺术形式为他们制造舆论,从古希腊古罗马的历史中寻找适合他们作为行动典范的英雄题材,为大革命服务。于是画家达维特先后创作了《荷拉斯兄弟的宣誓》、《马拉之死》、《拿破仑一世加冕大典》等作品,被誉为法国近代革命史的真实写照。中国现代油画家董希文的革命历史画《开国大典》集中生动地反映了当时中华人民共和国成立、“中国人民从此站起来了”那一特定的历史瞬间,极大地鼓舞了人民建设新中国的信心。后来,由于政治风云的变动,这幅画几经磨难,但它终究成为中国革命历史画的经典之作,在新中国绘画史上留下了辉煌的一页。以宁夏革命题材为主题的油画《红河支部》(刊登于宁夏《支部
