我不是长于画风景的画家,而且我觉得真正画好风景画很难。风景画家有时需要有比人物画家更加敏锐的感觉和诗意的情怀,以及更为丰富细腻的色彩表达能力。所以我过去画藏区的雪山草场题材,也很少纯风景,宁可画有背景的肖像或是生活劳动场面。尤其是我几次到中国南方省份和东南亚国家,觉得画中国画还可以,如用油画去表现那入眼的一片青翠,更是难上加难,不论桂林山水,还是江南小景,我试过几次,多以不如意告终。为此我曾聊以解嘲地说:试看西方印象主义大师也大都活动在北纬40度线以北地区。
I am not a painter who is longer than a landscape artist, and I find it really hard to draw a good landscape. Landscape painters sometimes need to be more keen and poetic than figure painters, and have a richer and more subtle color expression. Therefore, I used to paint the theme of snow-capped mountains and grasslands in Tibet. There are also few pure landscapes. I prefer to portray portraits of the background or work-life scenes. Especially when I visit China’s southern provinces and Southeast Asian countries on several occasions, I feel that painting Chinese paintings is OK. It is even harder to use oil painting to express the greenness of the entrance. Even if it is a landscape in Guilin or a small area in the south of the Yangtze River, Times, more than happy end. To this end, I have talked to ridicule to say: try Western impressionist masters are also mostly activities north of latitude 40 degrees north of the area.
