The fracture toughness and temperature dependency of materials are an important issue in engineering fracture analysis.In this paper, the similarity of fracture toughness and yield strength to temperature dependence is analyzed and the relationship between them is discussed from the plastic power consumption at the crack tip It also discusses the possibility of inferring the temperature dependence of the fracture toughness of some materials from the temperature dependency of yield strength.
