在变革中砥砺前行上世纪三四十年代,正处于无产阶级领导的新民主主义革命时期。在血雨腥风中,赵西林目睹了资产阶级的丑恶罪行、接受了先进政党的思想理念、向往着人民做主的美好世界,共产主义的种子逐渐在他的心底萌芽。沿着“从群众中来、到群众中去”的道路,在花溪清华中学读书期间,赵西林就积极参加地下党领导的新民主主义青年联盟活动,得到了革命的熏陶和锻炼。这也为他日后从事革命工作和群众工作奠定了坚实的基础。1949年3月,赵西林参加革命工作。两年之后,他正式加入中国共产党,真正成为一名共产主义者,长期从事党的理论教育工作。

In a bloody battle, Zhao Xilin witnessed the ugly crimes of the bourgeoisie, accepted the ideological concepts of advanced political parties and long for the beautiful world where the people are the masters of the country. The seeds of communism gradually sprout in his heart. Along the path of “from the masses to the masses,” while studying at Huaxi Tsinghua High School, Zhao Xilin actively participated in the activities of the New Democracy Youth Alliance led by the underground party and gained revolutionary influence and exercise. This laid a solid foundation for his future revolutionary work and mass work. In March 1949, Zhao Xilin joined the revolutionary work. Two years later, he formally joined the Communist Party of China, truly became a communist and has long been engaged in the theoretical education of the Party.
