2005年11月19日是中国中医研究院建院50周年。为庆祝建院50周年,中国中医研究院以务实的精神,搭建多个学术平台,以一系列学术活动为主体,全面促进中医药学术事业的发展。11月19日上午将在人民大会堂举行“中国中医研究院成立50周年庆典”,庆典仪式中将首次颁发“中国中医研究院唐氏中药发展奖”。该奖项经国家奖励办批准,由中国中医研究院与美国唐仲英基金会联袂设立,专门用来奖励国内在中药基础研究和中药应用研究领域获得突出成就的专家,每人20万元的奖励金额是目前国内同类奖项中奖励数额最高的。为了在国际化背景下保持中医药的可持续发展,中国中医研究院将于11月18～20日,在北京国际会议中心举办中国中医研究
