刘国棋是七、八两届的全国政协委员,也是北京市西城区政协五至九届的常委。我在1996年初区政协开会时得知他患了肺癌,曾多次去看望他,他还侃侃健谈,想不到病情迅速恶化,于1996年3月31日与世长辞,享年82岁。说起刘国錤,大家并不熟悉,如说起《红岩》小说中的刘思扬,现今40岁以上的人却几乎是人人皆知。刘思扬的原型就是刘国錤的胞弟——刘国鋕烈士。刘国錤1914年生于四川省泸州一个豪富之家。曾就读于杭州之江文理学院,学习历史专业。因为日本侵华,他没有毕业就回了四川,从此开始了他一生的金融事
