1945年8月15日,日本帝国主义无条件投降,伪满洲国皇帝溥仪仓皇出逃,把家眷丢在通化临江的大栗子沟煤矿,其中有“皇后”婉容、“贵人”李玉琴、溥杰妻子嵯峨浩、溥仪的乳母以及族人和太监侍女共百十号人。几经周折,这些人在临江遇上了八路军。从临江到通化再到长春,她们在八路军部队里整整待了半年,尤其是由平民女孩成为“贵人”的李玉琴,又一次经历了不平凡人生的重大转折。
On August 15, 1945, Japanese imperialists surrendered unconditionally and Pu Yi, the emperor of the puppet Manchukuo, flew home and plunged their families into the Great Chestnut Gully Mine at Tonghua Linjiang.
