1. Introduction The ancient photosensitive material, dichromated gelatin (DCG), has been re-emphasized today by the rapid development of laser holography. The high diffraction efficiency, high signal-to-noise ratio and high resolution of the DCG hologram make it an important recording material in the production of holographic and holographic optical elements. However, the dried dichromated gelatin hologram absorbs moisture from air of high relative humidity (RH> 80%) due to the inherent hydrophilicity of the gelatin, resulting in a rapid degradation of the hologram. This fatal weakness is still the biggest obstacle DCG has ever recorded as a hologram. In order to enhance the DCG hologram moisture resistance, at present
