无花果,果味香甜,营养丰富,又有防癌抗癌、清热解毒、喉痛消炎益肠健胃等医药作用,是药食两用的果品.无花果对土壤要求不严格,适应性比较强,病虫害少,管理方便,见效较快,在浙江奉化莼湖地区沿海、山边、畈田、园地均有种植,莼湖杨家苗圃就种有10多个品种.但无花果在一些低洼塘田和畈弄低田常在梅雨和台风季节团连降大雨受到不同程度的水淹,对生长结果受到一定影响.苗高16cm～25cm的无花果苗,全部淹没22h后,法国的布兰瑞克品种就有5.71%发生死苗.全部淹没达38h的,成活率紫果为87.5%,日本麦司依陶芬为80.36%,布兰瑞克仅有58.82%.全部淹没83h且以后又有三次淹水6h以上,则紫果、麦司依陶芬、布兰瑞克、新疆种、录抗一号等7个品种772株幼苗全部叶片发黄后枯死腐烂无一株成活.
