十年以前,我读过一部名叫“工程师的失踪”的科学幻想小说。书里描写了一个锁着门的发电厂,发电机在飞快地转动,可是厂里没有人。管理这个厂的只有一个值日工程师,他坐在离得很远的管理处里。书里还描写了没有人的车间,一排排机床在自动工作。如果十几年前这些自动工厂、自动车间还可以作为科学幻想小说的题材,今天却早已变成了现实。生产过程自动化——这已经不是“未来的技术”,而是“今天的技术”。它是现代技术进展的主要方向。生产过程自动化,按照生产过程的特点,可以分做两种主要类型:一类是非连续性生产过程的自动化;一类是连续性生产过程的自动化。
