本文叙述了一种中等应变率为10~(-4)至10~2/秒的优良材料试验系统。其设计有闭环液压作业与开环气动作业两种。新颖的设计具有精确的试样对心,以及超过17×10~6磅/时(11.7×10~4 MPa)的刚性机架。该试验机能进行常规的拉伸/压缩试验,疲劳试验,而且稍微进行少量改进后可做双轴应力管子试验和三轴应力试验。精确的对心能力结合机架之高刚度和气动操作能用刚性夹持器对脆性材料进行试验。钛6-6-2在四种选好的温度下以10~(-4)至约10/秒的应变率进行拉伸和压缩。该材料呈现一种很低的对应变率灵敏性。在各试验温度时屈服应力随应变率的增长而增长,而延展性却下降。
This article describes an excellent material testing system with a medium strain rate of 10 -4 to 10 -2 / sec. Its design has closed-loop hydraulic operation and open-loop pneumatic operation of two. The novel design has accurate specimen centering, as well as rigid stands in excess of 17 x 10-6 lb / h (11.7 x 10-4 MPa). The test machine can perform conventional tensile / compression test, fatigue test, and with a few minor improvements can do biaxial stress tube test and triaxial stress test.
