目的探讨基质金属蛋白酶(MMPs)MMP2、MMP9及其组织抑制因子(TIMPs)TIMP2在边缘系统胶质瘤侵袭过程中的作用。方法利用免疫组织化学方法检测MMP2、MMP9及TIMP2在35例高、低级别胶质瘤和20例脑膜瘤中的表达。结果①MMP2及MMP9在高级别胶质瘤中的表达明显高于低级别胶质瘤,在低级别胶质瘤中的表达明显高于脑膜瘤,差异有显著性。②TIMP2在高级别胶质瘤中的表达明显低于低级别胶质瘤,在低级别胶质瘤中的表达明显低于脑膜瘤,差异有显著性。结论①MMP2及MMP9的表达与胶质瘤的恶性程度有关,可能成为胶质瘤恶性程度和预后的判断指标。②TIMP2是MMP2的抑制因子,两者之间失衡是促进胶质瘤侵袭的重要因素之一。
Objective To investigate the role of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) MMP2, MMP9 and their tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase (TIMP2) in the invasion of limbic glioma. Methods The expression of MMP2, MMP9 and TIMP2 in 35 cases of high and low grade gliomas and 20 cases of meningiomas were detected by immunohistochemistry. Results ① The expressions of MMP2 and MMP9 in high-grade glioma were significantly higher than those in low-grade gliomas, and were significantly higher in low-grade gliomas than meningioma. There was significant difference between them. ② TIMP2 expression in high-grade glioma was significantly lower than low-grade glioma, low-grade glioma was significantly lower than meningioma, the difference was significant. Conclusion ① The expressions of MMP2 and MMP9 are related to the malignant degree of glioma, which may be the judgment index of malignant degree and prognosis of glioma. ② TIMP2 is a MMP2 inhibitor, the imbalance between the two is an important factor to promote glioma invasion.
