In the United States, one such case has been reported: a 20-year-old girl, plagued by some inexplicable fear and anxiety for many days. In order to eliminate this unbearable torment, she finds a sharp blade and raises three blood whips on her wrists or elsewhere. Looking at the bloody wound, she seems to be able to restore the quiet and normal past. Surprisingly, the wound did not seem much painful to her. However, such normal emotions often can only be maintained for about a week, then the fear will hit her again, so she had to again hurt themselves with a blade. The girl’s numerous scars, documented her past brutal self-cutting body experience. However, the doctors’ examination revealed that the girl was neither mentally ill nor a suicidal person. Although she was surrounded by some weird and horrible fear, she had devastated her body, but at the time she really did not want to die. And in the interval between episodes of phobia, her behavior is all normal, and no different from ordinary people. According to the survey, there are four times as many suicides in the United States each year as self-inflicted injuries. By analyzing nearly 100 cases of self-injury, researchers found that self-injury and suicide were not only completely different in their motivation, but also different in age. The most common suicides are middle-aged people around the age of 45, most of them think they have no success, body weakness
