In 1962, citizens of Manchester, England, with great respect and admiration, relocated the statue of chemist John Dalton from the Civic Hall to the new, modern main building of John Dalton Institute of Technology. John Dalton was born on September 6, 1766 in the backcountry of Iglsfield, a town in northern England. His father was a poor farmer and weaver’s handicraft worker, and his mother helped his father to farm except for housework. Meager income to feed a family of eight people, the family economy is quite tight. Despite her poor family life, when Dalton was 6, enlightened parents managed to get him into a rural primary school run by a local church member. A few years later
