According to the 7th Malaria Expert Committee, Epidemiological Surveillance (ES) is an integral part of the Malaria Elimination Program and tasked with: gathering evidence of the continued spread of malaria; identifying its causes and nature; and eliminating remaining affected areas ; To control or treat human malaria; to verify the effectiveness of malaria control. The authors believe that ES is characterized by its far-reaching impact on all measures to prevent the epidemic. What is particularly important is that according to the original concept, the target of the ES is not any disease, but only the local epidemic has been stopped or even eradicated diseases, including local endemic. At the same time, they are widely controlled or have been eliminated locally but still require extensive prevention and control and new diseases that have not yet been widely spread in the area.
