中国期刊协会经济期刊联合会(简称“经刊联”)成立大会于1995年12月14日在京召开。出席大会的代表有《经济学动态》、《经济研究》、《经济改革与发展》、《管理世界》、《中国金融》、《中国投资与建设》、《企业管理》等数十家经济期刊的负责人。大会通过了中国期刊协会经济期刊联合会章程,选举成立了中国期刊协会经济期刊联合会第一届理事会。中国社会科学院经济研究所副所长、《经济学动态》主编王振中同志当选为会长。与会代表一致认为,在中国经济期刊蓬勃发展和面临巨大挑战与激烈竞争的形势下,“经刊联”的成立是十分必要的。它有利于宣传党的方针政策,有利于协调经济期刊行政管理部门、经济期刊内部的关系,有利于加强经济期刊界内部以及经济期刊界与社会各界、国内外广大读者的交流与合作,对繁荣和发展我国的经济期刊事业将起到积极的促进作用。会议确定了“经刊联”的宗旨、任务,讨论了如何发挥“经刊联”的宣传、协调、交流、保护、发展五大功能和群体优势,通过各种合法方式和有效手段,逐步扩大经济期刊发行数量,提高经济期刊编辑质量,进一步促进中国经济期刊的繁荣和发展。
