[Objective]To extract the chlorogenic acid from different organs of Lonicera japonica Thunb. and then determine their contents. [Method] Chlorogenic acid in the vine, leaves, flowers and buds of Lonicera japonica Thunb “ Giant Flower One” was extracted by acid ethanol method, and then determined by HPLC. [Result]The content of chlorogenic acid was different in different organs of L. japonica. It was higher in flower and bud, while lower in vine and leaf. The content of chlorogenic acid was in the order of flower (3. 798 mg /g) > bud (3. 795 mg /g) > vine (2. 558 mg /g) > leaf ( 2. 185 mg /g) . [Conclusion]The vein and leaf of L. japonica could be used as the materials for developing medical resources.
