据报道,2012年1月16日清晨5:50左右,安徽宣芜高速上发生一起汽车追尾事故:一辆车牌号为陕A715T8、乘坐8人的江淮瑞风商务车与一辆车牌号为皖P05589的半挂货车列车发生追尾,造成商务车上7人遇难,另1名重伤仍在救治。商务车核载7人,实载8人,其中2名为儿童。安徽省宣城县宣州区消防大队接警赶赴事故现场后,发现商务车的驾驶室已插进列车尾部,2车重叠度近1m。在巨大的冲击下,商务车被撞得面目全非,前面的列车载满货物,未受到多大损坏,列车上3人无大碍。
