新沙港区地处珠三角几何中心,是华南、华中、西南最重要的汽车进口口岸,可停靠世界最大的滚装汽车船。自2005年底开始整车批量进口业务以来,新沙港区的整车进口数量逐年递增,至2013年底,汽车进口累计超过130万辆,涉及品牌50多个,短短几年内已跃居全国第三大汽车进口口岸。
