水闸(坝)一般按进口、闸室、出口三段的平面布置。在北方这些平面的底板(包括翼墙的侧面)与基土接触的部位,均易遭受基土冻胀的破坏而龟裂,最后往往因此产生渗径短路而使水闸破坏。为了解决上述问题,从二十世纪六十年代至八十年代逐渐产生和发展成一种新型的结构型式——“一字沉板闸”。它使上述问题得到综合的解决,还具有大量节省工程量和减少施工期的优点。
