The material discussed here was found during the excavation of a seriesof pits at S.Salvatore.Ostiano(Cremona).This area is adjacent to area 2.the faunal data of which has been discussed elsewhere(Clark 1980).Faunalmaterial was not found in all of the pits in this group,being absent inpits 6 and 7.There was a total of 230 fragments of bone recovered of which 45.6%
