委婉表达法(Euphemism)也是一种修辞。所谓委婉法就是用间接而又温和的话指出别人的短处或说出一件令人感到不愉快的事。中学生在所学词汇的范围内应多学一些这种修辞法,教师在平时教学中更要做好表帅。我想从几个方面谈谈自己的拙见。一、关于上厕所。这是是日常生活中的常事。去男厕所则应该说Let’s go to the man’s room/gentleman’s room.去女厕所则说Let’s go to the lady’s room/powder
Euphemism is also a rhetoric. The so-called euphemism law is to use indirect and gentle words to point out the weaknesses of others or to say something unpleasant.
