由福建省农科院果树所、云霄县农业局和莆田县霞皋果林场共同选育的批把新品种“长红3号”,具有显著的丰产性,产量比常规优良品种高1～2倍,平均亩产达1400公斤,并且投产早、抗逆性强、果大、肉厚、品质较好,适合鲜食,更宜罐藏.该品种在省内外已推广7000多亩.今年4月通过了省级鉴定,被认为是枇把的优良品种.推广这一新品种对改变枇杷“低产”面貌,延长鲜果供应期和罐头加工期都将有明显作用.
