紫外线示波记录纸在使用过程中,经过光显影后,初期阶段波影清晰可见,这时波影与背景的密度差较大。但随着时间的推移,原来密度较低的背景,由于光线的照射,背景密度逐渐加深,以致与波形密度相近甚至于相等。这时记录纸上的原记录波形就显得模糊不清或无法辨认,等于波形消失。波形的消失,给大多数使用单位带来极大的不便。尤其是野外的测试工作,许多数据必须带回整理,记录或存档的都无法进行,从而造成难以估计的损失。
