小学英语教学应注重以学生为本,重在激发和培养学生的学习兴趣,提高学生的综合语言运用能力,而warm-up是英语教学的序幕,是教师进行英语教学的第一步。IHS三级阶梯教学法的第一个层面是教师层面,包括亲和度。亲和度指的是教师从情感因素与非情感因素入手,与学生从多角度、多渠道建立良好的融洽的亲近感情,使学生愿意接受教师,达到亲其师、信其道、传其道。而warm-up有助于把学生的注意力吸引到课堂上来,营造一种学习的氛围,很符合亲和度中学生的层面:进入学习状态;通过对旧知的复习和巩固,降低新知的难度,为新的学习内容做好铺垫,这也落实了亲和度中link(创设学习情境)的环节;在平常的教学中,主要采取几种巧妙的warm-up,吸引学生投入英语学习之中,恰到其处,点拨亲和度中的教师角色(吸引学生兴趣)。
