综合布线是现代智能建筑的重要组成部分，是现代信息通信工程设计的重要终端技术之一，也是计算机网络的重要设施。综合布线又是适应信息化社会发展的必然趋势，其技术引起人们极大的关注。本刊过去曾零星地发表过几篇有关综合布线技术方面的文章并受到欢迎。为向读者提供更多的实用技术素材，在迎接千禧之年里，决定组织一次综合布线技术讲座，专请吴达金高级工程师主讲。从本期起，拟分十讲连续系统讲授，供读者参考。欢迎读者阅读后将意见、体会、建议及时告诉本刊编辑部，以便不断改进，提高讲座效果。
Cabling is an important part of modern intelligent building and is one of the important terminal technologies in the design of modern information and communication engineering. It is also an important facility of computer network. Cabling is to adapt to the development of information society is an inevitable trend, the technology has aroused great concern. In the past, we published a few articles on cabling technology and were welcomed. In order to provide readers with more practical technical materials, in the greetings of the new year, we decided to organize a seminar on cabling technology and invited a keynote speaker from Senior Engineer Wu Dajin. Starting from this issue, it is planned to divide ten consecutive system lectures for readers’ reference.
