一、高唱排满的“四大寇”之一陈少白(1869-1934),名白,以字行。本名闻韶,字蘷石,为从事反满始改名。广东新会外海人。出生于知识分子家庭。其四叔梦南为基督徒。家藏多种中译西籍,故少白少年时即知世界大势。1888年,以第一名考入方创办的广州格致书院(岭南大学前身)。次年加入基督教。经区凤墀介绍,在香港结识正在西医书院就读的孙中山,成莫逆之交。
