《世说新语》中有则“支公好鹤”的寓言,说的是晋代的一位高僧支公平日喜爱白鹤。一天,有人送给他一对,他很高兴。没多久,这对白鹤长了翅膀,想要飞翔,支公担心它飞走,就剪短了它的翅膀。白鹤本是一种喜欢高飞的鸟,现在不能再飞翔了,便回过头看着自己的翅膀,低垂着脑袋,一副沮丧恼恨的神气。支公看到这可怜相,便想,白鹤既然有直上云霄的志气,又怎能愿意做人们手下的玩物呢?于
There is the allegory in the “Shi Shuo Xin Yu” that “the public is a good crane.” It is said that a monk from the Jin Dynasty favored Crane on a regular basis.
